Not only have I been told for the majority of my life that we only use 10% of our brain, it is actually an extremely popular myth! Since this widespread, extremely incorrect information was even mentioned in our psychology textbook, I thought it was a perfect myth about humans to comic on!

Ye, that’s true. I heard the same myth so many times, and still, someone thinks that our brain works like that.

Isn’t there a movie about this? I thought this was true until my high school science teacher explained the areas of the brain.

Maybe you’re thinking of the film “Lucy”? Where it hypothetically shows what would happen if humans reached the full 100% capacity of their brain’s ability (if you haven’t seen it it’s SO good lol).

I completely agree! I remember always believing this to be true, up until about a week ago to be completely honest!

I thought this was true for so long until I learned about Alzheimer’s disease and how it makes the brain shrink from parts of it dying and not being USED. So I thought… well we MUST use all of our brain if it’s all still there LOL
