in my culture it is known not to whistle during the night because it is believed to “summon” spirits sometimes bad ones. personally i havent heard this “myth” outside my culture

somewhat similar is my situation as well. growing up I was being told that whistling while you’re inside the house will make snakes surface up through the floors of the house and not one or two but many and then they’ll do harm to us
