I was a graphic designer for TEDx Kids Vancouver one year and worked really hard in all of the visual aspects. The day of the event, I thought it was being held downtown. When I got to the venue and clearly nobody was there, I looked up the event again and saw it was actually in Burnaby. It was too late to make it there in time, so I went to church with a homeless man I met instead. It was not the event I planned to attend that day, but it was lovely.
